Oolong Yan-Shi Ginseng is a distinctive loose leaf tea made with Oolong tea and ginseng powder. The leaves are rolled into small pebble-like shapes, giving the tea its Yan-Shi name, which refers to a rock-like appearance.
This Chinese Oolong comes from Fujian Province and is made from the Camellia sinensis plant. Oolong tea is semi-oxidised, sitting between green tea and black tea in style, which gives it a smooth, rounded and aromatic character without the heaviness of a fully oxidised black tea.
The addition of ginseng gives this tea a unique, earthy-sweet profile and a naturally lively character.
